Kernel3.15 - Fehler seit Juli Update

Hallo Freunde,

ich benutze schon seit einiger Zeit den Kernel 3.15 ohne Probleme. Mit dem heutigen Update passiert folgendes beim Start:
Manjaro startet -> Dateisystem wird angezeigt mit xxx.clean yyy blocks (soweit korrekt).

An dieser stelle bleibt der Bildschirm stehen - man hört aber noch, dass die Festplatte anscheinend weiter startet. Dann hilft nur noch der Powerknopf. Mit Kernel 3.15.1 gab es das Problem nicht. Erst mit dem aktuellen Kernel 3.15.3. aus dem aktuellen Update.

Ich habe jetzt wieder auf den Kernel 3.14 zurückgewechselt, denn damit startet und läuft der Rechner einwandfrei.

Habt Ihr einen Tipp für mich? Wird der Fehler evtl. irgendwo protokolliert?

Also ich habe jetzt nochmal den Kernel 3.15 installiert und etliche Male den Rechner hoch- und runtergefahren. Momentan startet meistens .

Subjektiv schaut es so aus, dass der Kernel schneller hochfährt, als das Grafiksubsystem nachkommt. Aber ich habe noch nicht die richtige .log Datei hierzu gefunden.

Mit Kernel 3.15 schaut das jetzt so aus:

Auf meinem Laptop passiert das gleiche.

Anscheinend gibt es da Probleme mit dem Kernel 3.15, wenn auf den Grafikmodus (XWindows) umgeschaltet werden soll. Der Rechner selbst startet und ich kann per ssh darauf zugreifen. Aber er ist nicht mehr lokal benutzbar.

Wird der Fehler evtl. irgendwo protokolliert?

Die Meldungen des Kernels beim Systemstart werden im Kernel-Ring-Buffer protokolliert. Den kann man sich mit

dmesg
anzeigen lassen. Da gibt es ein paar hundert Zeilen Ausgabe. Man könnte also nach bestimmten Begriffen greppen, z.B.

dmesg | grep fail
Besser ist es, die Ausgabe in eine Datei umzuleiten und sich die dann mit dem bevorzugten Editor in Ruhe anzuschauen.

gesagt getan. Soo lang ist die Datei für den Desktop-PC nicht, darum habe ich sie komplett hier aufgeführt, um evtl. Zusammenhänge besser zu erkennen.

Gesucht nach "error":              gefunden bei 17.66016
Gesucht nach "fail":                gefunden bei 4.489478 und 5.579516 und  17.660016
Gesucht nach "cannot"            gefunden bei 5.579516

Hi,

da scheint es ein Problem mit der Intel-Grafikkarte zu geben.
Falls es sich um eine GM / GL Karte handelt,  kann es sein, dass diese mit der "sna"-Beschleunigung nicht umgehen kann.
(Die Karte findest du mit lspci heraus.)
Ein Versuch wäre, auf  "uxa" umzustellen.
In der /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf solltest du folgenden Eintrag finden:
Section "Device"
   Identifier  "Intel Graphics"
   Driver      "intel"

füge direkt darunter mal ein:
Option     "AccelMethod"  "uxa"
und teste ob es dann klappt

Das wird mit 3.15.5 besser. Zumindest bei mir.

das wäre die Stelle an der du es verändern könntest, bliebe dann auch nach dem Update so. Ob es was bringt ist aber nicht sicher und wenn es denn mit 3.15.5 erledigt ist, würde ich auch warten.

Es wäre nur interessant, ob sich das Problem mit dieser Änderung beheben lässt. So was könnte ja bei einer der nächsten Kernel Versionen wieder auftreten.
