Hallo liebes Forum,

ich würde gern auf Linux umsteigen, doch mit meinem Laptop schaffe ich es nicht Ubuntu oder eben jetzt Manjaro gescheit zum laufen zu bringen. Der erste Look&Feel von Manjaro ist jedoch klasse, weshalb ich hier dran bleiben möchte.

Zum Problem:

Ich habe mir manjaro-xfce-17.1.10-stable-x86_64.iso heruntergeladen und mit Rufus USB Media Creator ein USB Stick zum booten erstellt. So lange nur Ubuntu installiert ist geht das Live System hervorragend.
Wenn ich nun Manjaro installieren möchte, egal ob als alleinige Installation oder shared mit Ubuntu, dann fährt der Rechner leider nicht mehr hoch sondern bootet in ein Black Screen.

Grub Loader erscheint, Starting Version 238, dann werden glaub ich die Laufwerke gemounted, 
[     7.360985]kvm: disabled by bios    <-- ist das letzte was ich sehe

Der Bildschirm bleibt leider schwarz.
Möchte ich jetzt wieder den Stick nehmen und das Live System Starten, kann ich noch Sprache usw, auswählen, aber das Live System Bootet ebenfalls in ein Black Screen :-(

Einzige möglichkeit wieder Manjaro zu starten ist für mich bisher:
Ubuntu drüberinstalieren (also alles löschen) und dann wieder mit dem Manjaro Live System USB starten.

Ich habe leider überhaupt keine Ahnung wie ich nun vorgehen soll und was zu tun ist um das Problem abzustellen und hoffe Ihr könnt mir helfen.

Im installierten Ubuntu habe ich mal die Hardwaresachen auflisten lassen, kann ich aber unter Manjaro ebenfalls machen sobald ich da reinkomme. Aktueller Stand ist Manjaro installiert und alles endet im Black Screen...

vlt sind ja die Hardwaresachen für euch trotzdem hilfreich:

selbst herausfinden ist immer gut. aber der Beitrag stammt von 2013, also eine Computer-Ewigkeit :(
Kann ja trotzdem helfen, das findest Du nur heraus, wenn Du es ausprobierst. Mehr als wieder nicht funktionieren kann auch nicht passieren.
Hier gibt es aber einen neueren Thread, der sowohl von KVM als auch von der Grafikkarte (Radeon) passen könnte

Und dann

wozu Ubuntu, um einen USB-Stick zu booten? Das brauchst doch nicht, lass mal das Ubuntu weg.

also im Bios ist von KVM nichts zu lesen, ich wüßte garnicht was das sein soll. Aber da es sich eh um ein Notebook handelt sind die BIOS Optionen sehr spärlich.

Das war auch mein Gedanke, leider weiß ich nicht genau wie ich das mache. - vielleicht hilft mir aber der Thread von Dir ein weing auf die Sprünge. An KVM wird es nicht liegen, das ist nur die letzte Meldung die ich sehen bevor es in den Black Screen geht.

ja, darauf würde ich liebend gerne verzichten und direkt wieder den Stick nehmen... aber wie ich Eingangs leider schon beschrieben habe geht das nicht:

Dies ist ein anderes Gerät als das deinige (CHIP-Satz) etc.

Überprüfe dein ISO-Image, sind die Summen I.O, ja
Verwende das Tool ETCHER, um deinen USB-Stick zu erstellen
Starte dann denn Rechner, Tastatur, Sprache setzen, Display-Treiber FREE
          - nicht den ATI-Treiber verwenden
          - KVM - Meldungen ignorieren, nicht relevant für dich, sind Standard-Abfrage
Läuft dieser Ablauf sauber ? Ja
Poste bitte dann über das LiveSystem:
lspci -nn
lspci -nnk

Frage zu:Wie ist dies gemeint " drüberinstalieren "

Ich muss mein Ubuntu Stick nehmen, beim Loader mit Pfeil Runter anhalten, dann F6 und nomodeset auswählen und Ubuntu installieren... mit der Option "ganze SSD zu löschen / Formatieren."

Danach kann ich auch wieder das Manjaro Live System (ein anderer USB Stick, Checksumme stimmt) starten. - Sobald ich dann Manjaro installiere geht dann leider mit besagtem Fehler nichts mehr.


Da ich obige Schritte jetzt gerade durchführe Poste ich das Ergebnis in ein paar Minuten hier.

Danke erstmal für eure Zeit und eure Hilfe - eventuell hilft euch auch schon der Hinweis das ich auch Ubuntu nur über den Umweg mit NOMODESET installieren kann (was hat das eigentlich zu bedeuten dieser Zusatz)

Ok, also jetzt macht es noch weniger Sinn als vorher.

Ich habe Ubuntu installiert, mein Image von Manjaro unter Ubuntu geprüft, Stick mit der Console bespielt...

Manajaro Live bootet von dem Stick aber leider nur bis zur Auswahl von Sprache/Treiber/Tastatur... danach wieder Black Screen.

Gleiches Image unter Windows nochmal auf mein Stick gebügelt. Wieder ohne Fehler, aber in Manjaro Live komme ich leider nicht.

Sprich der "Workarround" bzw. das vorherige verhalten ist nicht mehr reproduzierbar (dabei habe ich das genauso schon bestimmt 5 mal gemacht)  :(

Ich bin also leider kein Schritt weiter, ganz im Gegenteil - eher ein Schritt zurück.

Kann ich denn Manjaro im Boot anhalten und eventuell ein NOMODESET mitgeben (wofür steht das nun eigentlich)? Eventuell hilft das erstmal wieder ein Schritt weiter..

Kann ich denn Manjaro im Boot anhalten und eventuell ein NOMODESET mitgeben (wofür steht das nun eigentlich)? Eventuell hilft das erstmal wieder ein Schritt weiter..
Das geht (Du stoppst natürlich nicht Manjaro, sondern den Bootloader Grub, aber sei's drum). Wie ist hier ganz gut beschrieben:

sogar mit Bild, wo das nomodeset hin muss (natürlich in den Manjaro-Teil)

wird auch erklärt, was nomodeset bewirkt. Ist etwas Fach-Chinesisch und für den eventuellen Erfolg auch nicht unbedingt notwendig, das 100% zu verstehen ;)

Was ich aber immer noch nicht verstehe, wozu Ubuntu? Du hast einen bootfähigen Stick, den steckst Du ein und drückst rechtzeitig beim Start z.B. F12 (je nach Bios). Da bekommst Du dann Auswahlmenu, ob Du von Festplatte, DVD oder eben USB booten möchtest. Gibt es das bei dir nicht?
Ja, das Ubuntu kann schon da sein, es stört nicht direkt, schliesslich gibt es ja auch Multi-Boot, aber es verkompliziert u.U. die Sache doch.

Was ich aber immer noch nicht verstehe, wozu Ubuntu? Du hast einen bootfähigen Stick, den steckst Du ein und drückst rechtzeitig beim Start z.B. F12 (je nach Bios). Da bekommst Du dann Auswahlmenu, ob Du von Festplatte, DVD oder eben USB booten möchtest. Gibt es das bei dir nicht?

Boot vom Stick geht ja, aber nicht (mehr) in ein Live-Manjaro - das ging vorher immer wenn nur Ubuntu oder nichts installiert war, sobald ich Manjaro installiert habe ging Manjaro nicht, ging Manjaro Live ebenfalls nicht mehr - sondern eben nur noch Neuinstallation von Ubuntu.

nomodeset hat entweder nichts gebracht, oder ich habe es nicht richtig gmeacht - leider wird das nicht so genau gezeigt... hier mein Vorgehen:

Ich drücke E im Manjaro Auswahlscreen und erweitere den Startbefehl um nomodeset (siehe ANhang)

Bootet danach leider wieder ins schwarze

Hallo Richarde,

ich bin zwar auch noch Anfänger und ich denke SpiritOfTux und gosia können da mehr zur Problemlösung beitragen als ich.

Aber uU könntest du mal schauen ob du dich an einer anderen Konsole anmelden kannst bzw was die Bootausgabe macht.

Wenn der Rechner in seinen Blackscreen gebootet hat probier mal den beherzten druck auf Strg+Alt+F1. Dort sieht man dann die Bootausgabe.

Strg+Alt+ F2 bis F6 bringen dich zur verschiedenen Konsolen wo man sich im Notfall nochmal per Kommandozeile anmelden kann. Wenn du dort ein Login-Promt bekommst ist dein System gestartet.
Mit Strg+Alt+F7 kommst du zu der Konsole in der Manjaro normalerweise startet.

Und eine Sache die noch machbar wäre ich das "quiet" und "splash" im Grub-starteintrag zu löschen. Wenn du im Grub-Start-screen E drückst gibt es dort irgendwo die option den Grub-Startaufruf anzupassen. Über den weg kannst du die beiden einträge wenn vorhanden (zumindest "quiet" sollte da sein) löschen.
Aber Achtung die Änderung gilt dann nur für den jeweiligen Start.

Wenn du das dann geschafft hast sollte die Bootausgabe sichtbar sein und dir und uns ein paar mehr infos zum Fehler liefern können.

Quiet entfernt und geschaut was er tut:

leider nicht viel mehr als sonst.. er bootet in ein Black Screen ohne das man anhand einer Ausgabe sehen könnte woran er sich aufhängt. :-(
