Hallo,

nach einigen Tests in der virtuellen Maschine habe ich mir jetzt ein neues System gekauft, auf welches ich Manjaro KDE installieren wollte - und stoße dabei auf ungeahnte Probleme!
Es sollte ein kleines schlankes System werden:

- SoC: Asrock J5005 (mit Intel UHD Graphics 605)
- SSD: Samsung Evo 860, 250 GB
- RAM: Ballistix BLS2C8G4S26BFSDK 16GB
- Monitor: iiyama ProLite X2474HS-B1

Ich hatte es schon an anderer Stelle beschrieben, jetzt treten folgende Fehler auf:

1. Besonders nach einem Neustart habe ich öfter mal so ein kurzes Bildflackern. Meistens ist es ein rosafarbener oder heller Streifen (vielleicht ein paar Millimeter dick), der für ein paar Millisekunden quer über den oberen Bildschirmbereich flackert.
Manchmal "zuckt" auch das ganze Bild kurz (vielleicht 1-2 Millisekunden), wenn ich ein Programm starte. Lässt sich aber nicht reproduzieren und ist auch nicht ein spezielles Programm. Das HDMI-Kabel habe ich schon ausgetauscht.

2. Wenn ich Programme an den oberen Bildschirmrand andocke, ist es oft so, dass sich die letzten paar Pixelreihen des Programmfensters quasi mit dem Hintergrund streiten. Der Hintergrund ist bei mir schwarz, daher sieht man das schön. Ein paar Pixelreihen werden also immer mal wieder kurz (für eine halbe Sekunde oder so) schwarz und nehmen dann wieder die Farbe des Programmfensters an. Ist schon ein wenig irritierend!

3. Nach der Neuinstallation stellte ich irgendwann fest, dass das Schwarz des Hintergrunds nicht richtig schwarz ist (nicht so, wie es bei einem VA-Panel sein kann). Daraufhin schaute ich mir mal diverse Einstellmöglichkeiten an ... so stellte ich unter Hardware > Anzeige und Monitor > Anzeigen mal die Bildwiederholrate von Automatisch um auf 74,97 Hz (die höchste einstellbare Frequenz, und auch die höchste, die mein Monitor unterstützt). Und siehe da, plötzlich war das Schwarz richtig schwarz! Bei allen anderen angebotenen Bildwiederholraten bekommt das Schwarz wieder so einen Grauschleier.
Unter Windows kann ich den Monitor aber auch problemlos mit anderen Hertzzahlen, z.B. 60 Hz betreiben.

Testweise hatte ich auf dem neuen System auch mal kurz Windows 10 installiert. Da sind mir die ganzen genannten Fehler nicht aufgefallen!
Es scheint also, als könnten sowohl Monitor als auch sonst. Hardware unter anderen Umständen schon funktionieren. Daher muss der Fehler eigentlich bei Manjaro oder Linux allgemein liegen. (Ein anderes Linux habe ich jetzt noch nicht getestet, weil es im Grunde sowieso nicht infrage kommt.)

Hat jemand eine Ahnung, in welche Richtung das gehen könnte? Könnte das was mit dem Grafik-Treiber zu tun haben, ist die Intel UHD Graphics 605 vielleicht noch zu "neu"?

Danke für die Antwort, aber ich fürchte, da müsstest du mir noch etwas mehr auf die Sprünge helfen ... ::)

Handelt es sich bei 1. und 2. um Terminal-Befehle?

Zu 1) Wenn ich
lsmod | grep videoeingebe, passiert genau nichts!
Ich habe aber aus dem Internet einen ähnlichen Befehl gefischt:
lsmod | grep agpDas ergibt
agpgart    49152 2 intel_gtt,drm
Zu 2) Der Befehl
Xorg.0,logergibt:
Kommando nicht gefunden

Zu 3) Kernel Linux 4.19.2-1

Schau mal nach, welcher Video Trieber geladen wird
2. Xorg.0.log
Ist unter /var/log/ gespeichert
3. uname -a
zeigt die genutzte Kernel Version an.

Nee, ehrlich gesagt konnte ich mich dazu noch nicht überwinden!

Ich hab jetzt erst mal Win 10 drauf gemacht, wollte, dass der neue PC endlich läuft ... aber eigentlich wäre ich ja gerne weg von MS (weil mir die Richtung, in die Win 10 geht, doch gehörig gegen den Strich geht!).
Ich hatte ja wochenlang, oder eigentlich eher monatelang in der virtuellen Maschine geübt, hatte alles an Software zusammen, was ich so brauche und mir ein paar Grundlagen angeeignet, so dass ich eigentlich schon ganz gut zurecht kam.
Dass es jetzt an sowas scheitert, ist natürlich traurig, aber irgendwie ist jetzt bei mir erst mal die Luft raus, wie gesagt, das Teil steht hier und ich will es jetzt endlich benutzen ...

Trotzdem vielen Dank für die Mühe bis dahin, vielleicht nehme ich ja nochmal einen Anlauf ...
